Etsy is quick and easy to join in order to purchase from me, and I accept PayPal for payment. I make most my own jewelry components in recycled Fine Silver (.999). I will also be adding bronze and copper pieces soon. Designs range from earthy to simple yet elegant, and go well with casual to dressy clothing. My jewelry is comfortable and versatile, pieces that you will reach for again and again! It brings me great joy to capture images of horses and nature and turn them into jewelry. This way you can wear your favorite nature theme, as well as accent your personal beauty, all with unique peices you won't find anywhere else. ABOUT METAL CLAY As I contemplated bringing my ideas into reality, I chose to use Art Clay Silver, an innovative and eco friendly metal clay which is fine silver (.999 silver) when finished. Finely-ground recycled/reclaimed metal particles are blended with an organic binder. When fired in a special kiln, the binder burns away and the metal fuses (sinters) together. The pieces are durable, and closely resemble lost wax cast silver pieces, only they are a little less dense. This medium allows me to create each one by hand from start to finish, with endless possibilities for customizing the design, with variations in shape, background texture, and additions such as a bail, border, or inlaid cubic zirconia or stone. Many are oxidized for an antiqued patina to enhance the design. Each piece is unique and will have features inherent to the process of making things by hand. ABOUT FINISHED JEWELRY All metal components are sterling or fine silver unless stated otherwise. I carefully choose the beads I use, and stone beads are usually natural (sometimes heat-treated). Beads are strung on high quality coated beading wire that is both flexible and durable. Crimps which fasten the ends have crimp covers to give a finished look, and prevent scratching and snagging. All jewelry is designed and created by me, right here in Oregon, giving you a quality piece made in America with care! MODIFICATIONS and REPAIRS If you have other needs for earrings, the wires or posts can usually be swapped for surgical steel, 14k gold, or 14k white gold (style of wire/post may change, and note there is significant additional cost in upgrading to gold). Many pieces can be adjusted for size at time of purchase if needed, please inquire before buying if the description doesn't state what changes may be requested. If your piece later needs repair or cleaning, I will gladly do so (with possible charge, depending on the issue).
